Product Outline

The Agilent 81640A tunable laser module is a back-loadable module. It is required to fit into the Agilent 8164A or 8164B lightwave measuring mainframe when operating. Itnbhas a built-in wavelength control loop to ensure high wavelength accuracy. For the tunable laser is a mode-hop free tunable with continuous power output, it is qualified for testing critical DWDM passive components. Each tunable laser module is equipped with two optical outputs: Output 1 is Low SSE output and Output2 High Power Output.

The 81640A works in both DWDM bands (C- and L-band). It has continuous sweep through full wavelength range,  fast tuning speed with dynamic specification, low source spontaneous emission output for high dynamic range, high power optical output for optical amplifier, built in real-time wavelength meter, mode-hop free tuning over full wavelength range and Panda type polarization maintaining fiber outputs.
